The fruit jars don't fish over there. I have seen some good fish posted from over there lately. Might be worth thinking about.
We tried to start a club over here a couple years ago.......had a meeting in Baldwyn about it and had good attendance but it just jever really got off the ground.

There was a group started in that area a couple of years ago too.
Im with you Crappy, we will make it happen, I cant drive 2 hours or 3 to fish Grenada and Sardis just like the guys that live down there dont drive up here, this will be a "Brotherhood" of friends from the area, anyone welcome, but it would be nice if you guys from south dont jump on the guy for wanting to do something, if you dont think it will work well just keep it to yourself, aint nobody said the didnt like the fruit jars but they dont happen in our back yards like most of you fellas, satdoc, wouldnt expect you to want it to fly cause you cant have control, ok see you guys cause I done slammed a mod and I know this will get deleted and I may even get banned, but hey thats life, made it with out CC before and will again

Agreed Larry, my comment "Here we go again" was spot on tho. Tammy and I drove 2 1/2 hours and had a great time at the meeting that night 2 years ago and then nothing. As far as being banned it aint so bad, think I got banned the same day we had that meeting.:RoflQuote:

I wasnt slamming anyone with my previous post, just that there are guys from all the bordering states that come to fish the fruit jars, even a few from up north show up...lol
I once started a crappie club in Burfordville.:cheers2 I was the only member. I called it the Burfordville Sportsmen Club or BS Club for short.:Rofl I can't always make all of the meetings and am afraid of being voted out.:yikes
That being said, I feel we are all here for the same reason. Friends, Fellowship and the love of crappie fishing. If a group of folks want to form their own club for tournaments or just plain old fellowship, I say Go for It!!! Face it guys, we have all benefited from Crappie.com and we have all made some great friends on this site.
Heck, I just drove 275 miles one way to fish a FJ.
If you all do decide to form a club, I wish you all of the luck in the world. Heck, you never know, the BS Club may even show up.:cheers2
My thought is let those that can or want to join and fish do so without bashing any one person or any one area. As has been said we are all here to learn,fish, make friends and enjoy crappie fishing. Lets all get along so that no one gets mad or banned. Just my :twocents
I don't fish any fj or any tounraments. Seems to be a lot of these allready up and going. There allready overlapping each other also. With so many out there that would make it hard to start one up. Seems like a lot of them makes for bad blood amongst each other. Doesn't sound like fun to me. Got enough drama with work wife kids and life. Fishing is the last place I need it. I say thumbs down on another club. Good luck with it anyways.
Don't think he is talking about a tourney club, just a fishing club more or less.
As far as your other statement about overlapping you know not what you speak of, the tourneys that are going on in north Mississippi the last few years have worked pretty hard TOGETHER to make sure this doesn't happen. To each their own but its really not fair to talk ill of something you don't have any idea about, come join us a time or two and see for yourself. Not for everyone but just cause it aint for me I try not to run it down.
They are overlapping. And it will continue too with more clubs,fj,tournys starting up. Might not do it that much with everyone working together but it happens. With more poping up it will happen more often. Iam not talking bad towards any club. Start up one a week for all I care. I just don't see the need for a tournament every weekend on every lake that's coming before you know it. There is bad blood inside each of these clubs and fj's. I see it on this website all the time. Like I said before dont need the extra drama. Good luck to current clubs and fj's and future ones. No bashing here just a thumbs down on my vote.
Ok, seems that some misunderstood the Crappy1's statement of "Club", first off it has nothing to do with having Tournaments (like FJ) if we were to have such a thing, I think it would me called "Fishing Contest" "Braggin Rights week" or something like that. I know some of you on here ride motorcycles (as I did a few years back) and you have you little bunch that you ride together with most all of the time and will gladly let anyone that wants to ride with you do so. You dont have vest, patches and such and have a name to your gathering do you ? I know I didnt, this will be the same thing kinda, just a gathering of fishermen that have the same Christian Values, Family Values and want to learn and share with all that will come. It AINT ABOUT FJ'S AND POINTS !!!!!! The only points we will be worrying about are the ones on the hooks LOL. As mentioned, this will be a Family based club, gathering or whatever makes you happy. All are invited to come fish with us, only requirement is to show up, you dont have to bring nothing but yourself, some of us will have everything you could need :) As far as FJ's I cant speak for Crappy1 but I feel like that those that are concerned about overlapping, need not worry, I dont forsee this club loading up and driving to Sardis, Grenada or Butla. I mean why do I want to drive 2-3 hours past some of the most famous fishing water in the world :) Im happy at Bay Springs and Pickwick because if you are not familar with Pickwick, it covers a hole bunch of water and fishes :)
