I get a lot of calls for these, mostly the all Gray ones, but a good many of these others as well.

Wow Skip the shad gray and blue are a pattern that I will be making. Nice ties good job. Mix some of those black and gray with a few strands of red and that would be killer here on Caddo. Might be one of your better patterns.
Redman
Very nice ties indeed!
Lookin good Skip
Looks good, Skip. It's hard to find a jig or bait that mimics most baitfish as well as gray. I never understood why more folks don't fish it.
You the Man Skip! look great buddy!
Thanks guys! Redman this is actually just my take of the famous Gray Ghost and not wanting to use that name and the originals had a really different style head and never seen that head for sale, but really don't think the head style has much to do with it. I have tied a bunch of these as a lot of guys that fish a particular lake in Texas, but have also sold some out of state.
sandwich Maker I have been making a lot of these since 2012 and guys keep telling me they are catching crappie when no one else is.
Bob that is FL Blue. Thank you!
Those are all great looking jigs.
Good stuff Skip. I use some similar to those here with good success.
Nice ties
Nice looking jigs I have a few of my own patterns that are close.. sorry But I like a lot of gray colors and usually add a touch of white and a bit of dark green or black on top
Not to worry, this is not one of my one patterns and not one I came up with. A fellow that lived on Lake Fork was the original as far as I know and his was called the Gray Ghost. He passed away a couple years back, maybe a little longer. He had a special type/shape head he tied it on and he also used a small regular bend hook. I just didn't want to copy his name for it, but had a lot of guys come to me to make some for them and it just kept being popular and just fit it into all my other jigs I normally tie. Most of my jigs and color combos were just me amd my looking for new things to tie. I wanted to have a really good selection and I didn't want to tie all just like everyone else. That is why I came up with a different way of tying my hackle tails. I have shared that with everyone and now there are a lit of guys that tie the same tail as I do. Heck I suspect many have no idea where that even came from, LOL!
This little jig even had a different style tail that eithe I or the older way used. This one is easier by a good bit depending on how particular you are with how your tails look.
Very nice as usual!
