Thank y'all so much for the kind words!!!! This was only his second fish but he won't let me help at all. I bait the hook and he cast, hooks and lands them.
This was his 1st fish ever and boy he was happy "I just noticed he drank blue punch right before the pic lol".

So it’s been a while since I’ve posted. Had some health issues and had to sell the boat. Son and I have started back fishing (from the bank) and haven’t found much but we’re enjoying ourselves and that’s what matters! Looking at this post brings back memories. Looking at the pic in the first post of this thread and the pic from today kinda makes me laugh cause he’s growing but the fish aren’t.
Edit to add: Sorry I attempted to add pics but my phone is acting up.
He really enjoys fishing. I hope we can find some ponds to hit or get another boat soon.

This weekend we did a little bank fishing and mostly caught micro fish however we had a couple decent ones. The look on his face every time that float goes under is absolutely awesome to see.

I’m the same way. I’ve been in and out of a lot of hobbies over the years, but fishing is the one thing I have always loved. Not sure what it is but turning the phone on silent and spending some time on the water is amazing, having my son along is just the icing on the cake!Quote:
