Odd day on the Grand

Met up with Peculiarmike today for the first time today. Really nice to hook up with someone else from Peculiar to fish with. Put in at Bucksaw and ran up above the bridge and started dipping trees. Caught a nice keeper on the 2nd tree 10 feet down in 18 FOW. Two pretty quick then it slowed down. Tried another row of stump and realized only 5ft deep. Started to move.....thump another keeper. Ended up fishing through the rain and had to leave early with 16 keepers mostly from 10 to 13 inches. Most were in 5 to 12 feet on flats dipping jigs. Color did not seem to matter. All kinds of trees but never more than 1 per tree. Overall good day.Attachment 164590Attachment 164591Attachment 164592

Gotta say it was a good day even with thunder, lighting and rain. Really enjoyed fishing with Jeff. Had the weather stayed as it was when we got there I think we would have limited easily. After the first thunder we had the lake to ourselves. Both thought maybe that was telling us something. But it wasn't that bad and turned out fine. I'm ready to go again. Thanks Jeff!
