Before interpreting the photo, so i'd like to understand the total clarity and the cleaning of the screen. As we can see, the machine is working with the chirp low, and then performing a scan that is from 42-65 kHz, obviously this frequency may change on the basis of the transducer that we are going to fit.
We depart from the two white arrows: they represent the two seals that descend toward the bottom, in fact, one of them fell precisely within the beautiful markings of blackfish, fish of about 25 kg of weight, indicated by the red arrow. The perfect adjustment of the GPSMAP 8015 combined with the technology contained in module CHIRP GSD 26 allows us to distinguish the fish one by one, that say …. All Superb!
Instrument Garmin GPSMAP 8015 , module CHIRP GSD 26 and transducer 1Kw B265LH (42-65 and 130-210 kHz ).
We are all accustomed to the usual frequency, 200 kHz and 50 kHz. I will give you an example, among the fishfinders standards, and the sounders chirp .
Standard Sounder. THE sounder standard uses a single frequency at a time, for which the number of information received and available resolutions are limited.
Fishfinders CHIRP. Devices highly innovative and ensure an identification of the fund and fish unique compared to traditional echo sounders. The CHIRP technology scans at the same time of high and low frequencies that, on the basis of the transducer connected, can go from 28 kHz up to a maximum of 210 kHz with the change of the cone of reading.
Why does Garmin CHIRP? Garmin has inaugurated a new era in the field of professional fishing, ensuring a better separation of the targets, and an excellent resolution high depth, but also allows the fishermen demanding select specific frequencies as a function of the species of fish being sought .

You do realize that the shallowest image is around 74' and the deepest is around 230'?
there are 13 ft. and 40 ft pics on PG 2.
I think that's fish arches and bait...

I don't really know what that is, as often discussed here.
The "washboard effect" is an anomoly in the SI image created by the SI piezoes and the DI piezo "pinging" at the same time...
It shows in the SI image as darker bands in the bottom detail running parallel with the centerline of the SI image...
Here it is evident even in the new ONIX....
http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r...pshyscwoor.png
The Garmin video you referenced show this same "washboard effect" in the SI image...
The ONIX allows a setting to turn off the DI ping...which can eliminate this "washboard effect" in the ONIX SI image....
The Lowrance Structure Scan units do not have an option to turn off the DI ping while the SI is operating...
The Garmin...I do not know if this option exists...
Rickie
Thanks,
I'd assume a depth change with color shift

I want to PM you but don't seem to have the skills, can you pm me?
An online friend sent me this from his Garmin,
What do you think?
http://s445.photobucket.com/user/rin...14003.png.html
Just an user (adict) like me.
And, to me it looks like I could easily see crappie hovering over the brush.
Down in or to the side , not so much
By the way, I'm using the phone for all this and there is no PM option
Which phone ...??
Can you touch my user name at the top of any of my posts and get the following to popup right under rnvinc...??

Rickie
Phone is HTC one.
I click your name, your info comes up,
But obvious " send a private message" option, or whatever it may say
What am I missing?
