beats working.
vacation should be great , crappie fishing on Greers not so great, if that was the only lake i could fish for crappie id take up golf, just not the kind of water i like to fish but they can be caught there! good luck!
Lots of timber across from the launch and slightly to the left. I have done well there before. Good luck and give us a report. DP
What he said!
I "have to" go camping there last week of this month (not Choctaw, but on GF) for wife's side of family get together. I'll fish, but I won't like it. :Rofl
Launch, go right, go PAST the marina, and keep going. If you like brush, there's five bazillion acres of it at that end.
You might try trolling in front of the marina.
There's crappie in there and that's a fun lake to fish. Get after them.
I've spearfished greers several times in august when the thermocline was at 30-32 feet. I never saw a single crappie on any of those dives and i never went below 30 feet but saw hundreds of smallmouths/largemouth and a few catfish that got zinged. Not sure if that will help ya any but the only other thing i would add is most of the fish are on points and suspended about 4 feet off the bottom.
Go past the marina and troll the outside edge of the pole timber on the left. Or just troll the edges of pole timber anywhere on the lake with deep water.
thanks guysi have had good luck before at the timber across from boat ramp and to the left but will try past the marina never fished that part of the lake. will let yall know what happens lol.
will give that a try thanks
Try hanging some lanterns in the timber and do some night fishing.
thanks for the info guys gonna try by the marina never fished that part of the lake before im hearing they in the submerged bushes
wow my post are not showing up till way later im thinking it did not post then it shows up could be me on this new laptop not real good t it yet lol
well whole trip was a flop rain rain and more rain tried past the marina all back in there didn't find a fish on the fish finder so went out other side of lake round the bend on the right in the timber lots of fish at 32 ft and 20 ft but not a bite then here comes the rain spent most of the time looking out the camper windows and napping lol
Good thing you had a camper. It probably rained because somebody was tent camping. It always rains when I use a tent. Camped in the Arizona desert in a tent in June once and it rained. And I've never seen a tent that didn't leak either.
