Hello guys my name is Matt Xenos I am going to be forming a crappie club for east TN. This is only an inquiry to see what kind of participation to expect at this point. I think it's time we catch up with the rest of the state. Would anyone be interested in being a part of a good group of fellow crappie fisherman? Also we will be holding local tournaments throughout the year. If you are interested please comment here or pm me. Thanks
There is a Chattanooga Crappie Club that is just starting up. Perhaps this club would be of interest to you. They are on Facebook.
I do not fish tx's but fishing with a good group of Crappie fishermen sounds like it would be fun.
Crappieready, did you get a chance to hit that spot? I have not been and was wondering if they were in there
I'm interested in the club. I would prefer it to visit more than just one lake. Keep us posted.
I did look at there club sir and they only fish one lake. We will be fishing multiple lakes.Quote:

My goal is to have a club that will not only fish tournaments, but also to fellowship with other crappie fishermen in your area and also out of your area. The most important thing a club can do is to help grow the sport of crappie fishing. So to answer your question no I do not believe it would just be an excuse to hold tournaments.Quote:

Speckchaser, I believe our first meeting will be held in west knox. It is possible that we may choose to move the meetings around at times to accommodate members in different sections of east tn. That is something we will discuss and decide at our first meeting. Along with rules, regulations, by-laws, and membership fees. I would like to shoot for July the 12th for our first meeting. This is good news. I live in maryville and mostly fish tellico, loudon, Douglas, chick, and the bar. I will spread the word, but most of my friends are bass fisherman. I think west Knox might be your best bet for centralized location for the first meeting. I will be in attendance wherever you choose to have it. A lot of guys have already said they will be at the meeting on July 12 regardless of the location. I am still working on that and have narrowed it down, but have not finalized it yet. Sinkum, I have been thinking about that myself lately and I have been thinking about adding loudon and watts bar to the rotation. I think 5 lakes would be good, meaning we could fish each lake at least twice a year. But I am going to wait until the meeting and see what everyone else's feelings are on the matter. That's when we will be setting the tournament schedule. Also I am glad to hear speck will be there. Look forward to it.Quote:

the chattonaga people an upper east tn people are the ones that it will be hardest on to make the tourneys
because of the expense of traveling so id try to spread them out as much as possible to give everbody a chance
