Have you ever noticed that if you put Sacaulait on ice they die with their mouth closed but if you put them in ice slush water they die with them open. Thought it was funny I noticed this after 45 yrs of fishing!

I always wondered why some of these pictures show their mouths open and mine are always closed. I put a lot of ice in the chest, and their mouths are always open. I almost asked this question a while back.
Maybe ice just gets washed in with the slush and it stays that way after they die. But dry ice doesn't move around as much, so it can't prop their mouth open. Just a thought.
now, thats going to keep me awake all nite thinking about that.....
Some are male fish, others are female. Wanna guess which is which??

I think the ones with their mouths open are the smart ones that realize -oh crap.

I think the icy slush water is colder and maybe that has something to do with it but it sure happens like that.
