harold and i went to smithville today caught 26 real nice keepers most on minnows about 1.5 ft down in 4 ft of h2o
ran up the river past free ramp. someone had it lookin like a hyway with all the cones on trees. got to windy very rough ride back to w ramp:yikes these are a few og the one we caught some real nice crappie:biggrin
Looks like some good fish Cliff. Glad you had a good day despite the wind. I ended up staying off the water this morning because of the wind.

Fantastic job and nice fish! I went up that way yesterday evening but didn't go past boat ramp and being first time for me that far up. It was getting late and I was only boat in sight and not knowing the channel I didn't stay long. I was able to get 3 keepers with jigs while there. Will bring minnows and bobbers with me next time.

I wish there were more of them! The channel on my gps map isn't the one the locals use to get through the trees quicker. Last time back to W ramp, I was lucky enough to be able to follow someone who knew the path.

Guess I should have went further north. I stayed up around the old Trimble dam ended up with 9 keepers most 10 or better not as nice as yours for sure though. Not a bad after work trip and some lucky guy at the ramp ended up with my fish. Doc says the wife should only eat fish once a week with a bun in the oven.
Are you sure he knew or did he just get Lucky , I went with someone who knew and still knock out 2 lower units the last three years !!!!!!!!!:yikesQuote:
