Does anybody know of a good use for metal coat hangers? We use the plastic ones. I have a 50 lb feed sack full. Just wondering before I set them out for the trash pick up.

Man if someone comes up with a use for them I have an unlimited supply of them from my uniforms.
I have seen them wrapped around concrete blocks and cedar trees
They work great for witching water lines. But would take many years to go through that many.
I could use a few to hang my blue coveralls on.............
I use coat hangers like some guys use brass rod to catch crappie. I cut the straight piece out of the hanger, peen both ends flat, drill a small hole in each flat and fix a small snap and gold hook to one end and a snap ring to the other end to tie my line to. I think this is what some refer to as a Kentucky rig. What ever it's called, it works great in heavy cover when fishing a minnow cause it eliminates any sideways movement from the minnow.
Google search "uses for wire hangers" brings up some interesting ideas.
Haven't you guys ever watched "Mommy Dearest?"
I likes hanging clothes on them . :)
Sometimes handy when you lock your keys in the truck.
If they are consistent (all of one type) take them by your local dry cleaners. They take our hangers back that we save and return 2-3x/year.
fixed a many a farm tractor with good ole metal hanger. darn near as good as steel wire
metal coat hangers are one of the best things to use when welding exhaust with an acetylene torch. :) That would do a lot of exhausts :)
