Both my units have them. Cheap insurance.
Won't fit my unit ... so it goes in the truck or locked rod locker for the trip to/from the lake (& while boat is moored in a marina boat slip).

They are prob great, but im not worried about someone stealing my GPS units just my waypoints. It takes only a few seconds to stick a blank MMC card in and download them.
That's why I have a dummy unit with thousands of worthless waypoints saved!

Use bolts....and ding the threads up to make it hard to get off even if they do have tools.....you cannot stop anybody from stealing anything.....but you can make it more difficult
I have 5 series birds and with the quick release mounts I just pop them off and lock them up in the truck. I found a padded pistol case big enough for both of them to fit in.
I have a $5000 ins. rider for my 3 HB SI combos & TM.... :highfive
