Haven't really been out yet to check on them. The last time I was out the water temp was 59. EB
Walnut creek today, kept 20,(mix of b&w). Water temp 64-66. Caught the majority in 18ft 10-12 down. Minnows and jiggin' stumps.
The crappie might be spawning out a little deeper since the weather has been so unstable here. EB
They’re in and out of the shallows depending on the day and weather, but for the most part I’ve witnessed a lot of fish in the shallows, depending on the lake and it’s clarity that could be as shallow as 18” or 5’.
Caught them in 24’ to 2’ this last Fri., Sat., and Sun. at Sherman. Females of course seem to be more abundant in the first deep break near the shallow water out to even 20’. The deep water fish that were active were very suspended…

I need to get out and start fishing this next week. I should have all my jobs and chores done so I can just fish. EB
Was out at Sherman on Sat. and my buddy and I caught 13 crappie between us in about 3'.
Any size to the crappie at sherman this year?
The biggest we had was 11.75
Went down and fished off the dock by the dam. Caught a few males in about 10ft of water. They was close to the bottom. EB
There should be a good class of Crappie at Beaver by Plattsmouth this year. EB
Hasn't been gang buster yet out on Johnson Lake but the few I have picked up have been 11.5" avg with one that went 13" ... just not catching numbers yet.
Are they on the banks there yet? Around Omaha they are staged yet in 10 ft of water. EB
