Wow!!! Was gonna drive by late this afternoon but they had the road blocked running a power line. Pictures don't compare to seeing it in person.
Man that is something else!!
Wow...John is right, pictures just don't compare.
Reminds me of my time spent on the coast after Katrina.
That is mind-boggling. You must feel truly blessed. I hope that all goes smoothly on the insurance front.
Chris so sorry for all that y'all lost.maybe it won't be long before things start to get better for y'all.
Just amazing, thank god for saving you and your wife.
No words can describe how devastating that looks! I hope all works out in the long run. Our house burned down when I was 16. I know what it's like to loose everything in the blink of an eye . Good luck Chris. Let us know if there is anything we can do
It's just unimaginable the power that thing had.
Lord....... Trying to imagine the power requirements to remove tile from a flat surface.....
Looking at the pics.......you and your wife surviving is a miracle and I am glad that you did thank the Lord.
Wow, that's all I can say. And thank God you both made it intact.
Just aweful. Don't know if I would handle it as well as you are. So glad you and Carol made it through that.
Wow,,,, that was one bad motha sucka of a tornado,,,lol.... Glad your still here to fish Chris .
"WOW" so happy yall made it through that
WOW Just amazing. Continued prayers.
Prayers to you and your family.
Ya'll were truly blessed. Sometimes it is hard to find the blessings inside of our losses, but after seeing what is left of your home, I am convinced the Lord was watching over you and your wife! I pray that you will continue to be blessed as you move forward.
It's hard to imagine what you and Carol went through Chris. Thank God y'all made it through alive.
Wow Feesh!!
Holy moly Chris where were you hunkered down at? Thank god y'all were spared.
chris, i dont know you, but i am certainly glad your family made it thru this ok. you seem to be taking it in cheek. look at it this way. you have the chance to make those small changes in the house that you always wanted to.
Puts everything into perspective doesn't. Glad yall are ok.
Unbelievable, Thank The Lord Y'all are ok, everything else can be replaced. Prayers!
Well, we had a stairwell with a closet underneath it was in the center of the home. That's where we were hunkered down. The walls came down on us and actually protected us for a few seconds. Then the walls left and we got blown around like a sheet of paper in a parking lot. Attachment 160945this is the spot where I ended up, actually on my patio. My wife was about 15' away near the edge of the carport and kitchen.
Hate i missed the party feesh . Came by to see you friday . I guess you had return where you are staying talked to your neighbors a few minutes . Told them to tell you i came by we were working about a mile from your place went back today . But like reese said had the road block trying to get the power back up . There is a big area that is totaled . I am so sorry . At least ya'll made it thru it . Blessing for sure .
Unreal!!! You guys were TRUELY blessed to survive that. GOD was with you!!!
Feesh I don't know you at all but I am inviting you and your family to come up and stay with us here in Iowa while your home is being rebuilt. My wife and I would be glad to help. Plus I could put you on some fish to help keep your mind off things. Prayers coming your way. Keep your chin up and remember god won't give you more than you can handle. He just likes to push us a little sometimes. God bless.
John
Thank you so much for helping out!!!! I hate it that I missed you, I was there earlier but had to leave. My insurance check for my wife's car came in and we had gone to purchase another.
Wow! What an awesome offer, I am truely humbled by this and the other offers, blessings, gifts, prayers, and well wishes. Just when you think this old world has gone to the dogs something happens and opens your eyes. Their is A LOT of good folks out there. Thank you for your kind offer it just blows my mind.
WOW man! Us folks from up north don't have a clue on the devastation a twister can cause. Sure am glad you and the wife are safe. Praying that all moves smoothly on the reconstruction part.
Guys, pictures no where near tell this story. Went by today and called Feesh when I got close. He was not in town but told when where he lived exactly, had an idea. I pulled in and on up to the house and just sat there as he was talking, he ask me if I had gotten out and I told him no, was sitting there in amazement that he and I were having this conversation. The devastation is awe striking to say the least, a lot of things have been put into perspective this week with this effecting someone I consider a friend and another incident that happened Thursday.
Life is short, don't waste it.
Yall will be fine, you have each other and I think you are finding that there are a lot of folks that care a lot about yall. Take care bro, maybe I will get to see you and Carol tomorrow on my way back thru.
If you stand in his drive next to the slab and look back toward the hospital . Make you want to cry . Bless them all .
