Those are neat vehicles
I always wanted one of those, I had an early 80's full sized Bronco, but always thought the smaller earlier models were the bomb.
Looking good, love those
Rust buckets , but once all that's replaced, you have one sweet ride,,, lookin good Mo!
Lookin good Mo, had a friend back in late 80s that had a 69 or 70 and it was unstoppable .
Looks like you gonna have you a " Lil Blue Mule" like in the movie Romancing the Stone.Saw one 1 day that had a 390 with tunnel ram, 2 4's hanging out the hood. It sounded awesome.Your project is a nice one for sure. You do all the sheet metal?Ford crate motor?
You getting there Bro

one of my favorites
Had my buddy rebuild a 97 explorer 5.0 with gt40p heads, trickflow stage 1 cam, edelbrock air gap and holly 4bbl and added roller rockers. going back with full msd ignition and distributor. Had a 600hp rated C4 trans built, new drivelines, adding 3.5 inches of lift, power disc brakes, and going to order my new half cab top. gonna paint her black/silver two tone. should have a mild lope to her at idle, and he's estimating 315-325 hp at flywheel. Not gonna be a monster, but a good fun joy ride. Ready to get down to tires and wheels, just cant make up my mind
I did about 40% of the sheet metal out of my grandfathers shop, when I got to the floor pans I took it to a fella, just didn't want the floors to give way rolling down the road. Body was pretty solid, just rust rust and more rust covered by layers of paint. Should have her running by next weekend.
That sucker ought to be bullet proof for sure! What size meats you gonna be running? And gear ratio's?That half cab is cool and makes it like a little pickup!Room for stuff and a dog box!Love a hydraulic roller. How much vacuum running that cam and are you running flat tops?
Duration @ .050" (degrees) - 221 intake/225 exhaust

Just running stock pistons with new rings. Changed out to better travel valve springs and hardened pushrods. We looked at having it bored and stroked but I want this to be a reliable driver that sounds and looks cool. Eventually will install a roll bar and back seat for removing the top and cruising backroads.
As far as tires I am looking at 35" swamper TSL or LTB on either a 15" or 17" M/T Classic III.
went to a car show four or five years ago and ford had a concept ford bronco on display. Looked awesome, but have not heard anything about them making it.
They had an april fools joke going around about a 3.8L concept diesel bronco, and also a supercharged gas burner, they hurt my feelings. Had me drooling reading about it until I got to the April Fools part. Some of the concept Bronco's are cool, other, not so much. I like the early body styles with a little modern flare added to them. They're tough. I should probably gear it lower, but going to pound the street for the most part, so I will stick with the 3.50s for cruising.
I'll be looking forward to seeing that run!!
I had a '68 model full cab with the 289 in it. Drove it for about 15 years. I really miss it now.
Sounds like a cool and reliable set up!That tall gear will help with gas mileage. Can't wait to see the finished product.
It sure will, had 411s in mine and it was like using a jake brake when you let off the gas. A set of 350s wouldn't hurt, the low range is really low. Gonna be fun watching the build.
My fishing buddy in Fla has a 64 Bronco(I think that is the year, will have to double check) that he bought in 1967. He has had it stripped to the frame and de-rusted and repainted. Rebuilt motor and tranny, all stock 64. He told me it was one of the only ones I would ever see that did not have the rear wheel wells cut out to accommodate bigger tires. I need to get a picture of it for y'all to see. It looks just like it did in 64.
I emailed him and asked him to send me some pictures. It is the small Bronco from the 60s. I love to drive it.
The completely original uncut broncos bring a pretty penny these days. I bet that's a cool rig. They don't make em like they used to. Crazy how popular they are still after 40 years! I would love to see the pics of it. It being a 64 also makes it as rare as a unicorn

Superglue, did you buy that maroon one from a guy in walls or coldwater?
Dang man, guess it's true, ya can't hide money! Haha I'm broke fooling with one!
Awesome old trucks. I'd love to own one!
You need any parts. Just let me knowAttachment 160263Attachment 160264

Here is a picture of my friends Bronco. I am not sure of the exact year, but early model of the 60s. It is all original and uncut. All the ones I've seen have the rear wheel wells cut out. This one is intact.
He drives it occasionally. His 2002 Chevy 4 door dually diesel sits outside and the Bronco is inside the garage.
SeaRay
WOW.....thats a nice one
Wow that a gem!
Man that red one is sweet! Don't see many that haven't had the fenders cut.
I really like those old Bronco's.....the old International Scouts were pretty neat too. I miss my Jeep that I used to have.
Very nice. Love those old rides.
There is a company that is now reproducing the 351 Cleveland block. Bigger bores, taller decks. In iron or aluminum. That was and still is a popular Ford motor!
If I ever build another it will have the 351... Like they say, there's no replacement for displacement! Love the low end torque, and with the Cleveland's, you can flow a lot more air and exhaust.
I should know better than to trust my memory. Rick tells me this is a 1974 model. He bought it when it was a year old and has kept it in near original condition. One thing I noticed the first time I saw it was the two gas tank caps beside each other. When you see two tanks on a vehicle this small, you better not plan on setting in MPG records. It did love gas, but it was worth it just to drive it.
Mine was a 74, got 10 mpg with them 411s in it, not much need for brakes just let off the gas.
