I talked to a man yesterday who told me the vultures at Brewer lake did a $1000.00 damage to his truck last week eating the rubber and scratching the paint. This seems to be quite common there may have to put a scare vulture on your truck.

never heard of this before, strange!!!
really, maybe you should bring some road kill and throw it some where near the launch to keep them bust while your fishing. lol
Thanks for info -I do fish Brewer & have had no problem but lots of chicken houses near by.
Jigtime
They did the same thing to my truck two years ago!!! They will eat anything rubber and the dang things can digest the rubber!! Thanks for the warning!!
On another note I've been catching crappie trolling out there!!
Is it happing at both Landings ? Last time I heard of this it was at the south ramp.
It happened to Steve Scroggins (ss2004) at Anderson Branch on Nimrod lake too! :donoMaybe it's time for a Vulture shoot!:yikes
Great, something else to worry bout. Vultures...
I was out on Brewer this past weekend and drove through the parking lot of the ramp on Reservoir Rd and there were a ton of vultures on folks' trucks. All I could do was lay on the horn and scare them all off, then I went to the southern ramp. I would hate to see what my truck would look like after vultures messing with it for a few hours unattended...hope everyone else's trucks are ok.
Them SOM AH ITCHES!!!
:hesaid
Guy here in Conway, that I told this to, is getting mad at me cause he thinks this is silly and a joke, and I keep 'warning' him not to go out there.
Anyone got pictures?? Or a name he can call to verify?
I'd sure like to fish Brewer in May, but not with a new truck!!!!!
i heard they are only at the north ramp, the south ramp is ok
Well, I'm challenged. Both in memory and intelligence!!!
To me, there is a South ramp and an East (near the old submerged bridge) ramp.
So........they don't fly far??? Is that it?? Anyone know a name of someone my Skeptic Friend can contact??? :)
Tastes like Osprey, kinda rubbery though....
the east ramp is where I had problems with them.............they fill up a dead tree on the north side of the ramp.....tell him if he leaves his truck there for the day he might become a believer
Does anyone know who exactly to contact about this problem?
Mr Remington or Mr Ruger would be where I'd start
