Stockton yesterday

We put my Champion in at Twin Bridges and ran toward CC bridge. I was looking for 60° or warmer water. Got past Miller's docks cove and ran back in a cove, water was 61.4° and warmed to 64.2° by afternoon, several boats. Water is what I call "medium" color.
We used white jig heads with a white single tail grub.
Caught 24 keeper crappie, largest was 15 1/2", threw a lot of small males back. Males are toward the bank, larger fish were out away from the bank in 6'-8' of water.
Caught one drum, two big carp.
Also caught a 5 lb. wally. :biggrin
And some sunburn.
It was a good day.

Hell of a day ill take a little burn for dat bite any day nice work guys

Congrats!

I'm going with my 2 boys tomorrow (Saturday) and putting in at either Aldrich or High Point around 1:30-2:00 pm and fishing until near dark. Thanks for the tips. I hope we can find a place to park the truck/trailer. Putting in, finding a parking place, and taking out are the hardest parts for me to overcome. I need "serenity now" when it comes to that stuff. All the rest is soooo relaxing. Need a private or low usage put in. Any ideas would be appreciated.

This time of year anyone with anything that floats (e.g. - '52 Mercury hood with a 5 HP SeaKing motor) will be on the water on weekends. Makes it tough. Best of luck to you.
