We put my Champion in at Twin Bridges and ran toward CC bridge. I was looking for 60° or warmer water. Got past Miller's docks cove and ran back in a cove, water was 61.4° and warmed to 64.2° by afternoon, several boats. Water is what I call "medium" color.
We used white jig heads with a white single tail grub.
Caught 24 keeper crappie, largest was 15 1/2", threw a lot of small males back. Males are toward the bank, larger fish were out away from the bank in 6'-8' of water.
Caught one drum, two big carp.
Also caught a 5 lb. wally. :biggrin
And some sunburn.
It was a good day.
