Let us know how it goes, I plan to try it out weekend after next.
We stopped by last weekend just to check it out, 12-15 people fishing from the bank, 12-15 trailers in the lot, no report from anyone though.
I had a late uncle who used to get there before daylight to beat the crowd and the sun. He would spider rig suspended fish in the summer and always did good, he would leave before the crowd ever got bad
Is there structure in that lake, or is it just a big dug-out area filled in?
think it has some sunken brush piles........
Went fish the lake this morning, only caught 4 sac a lait. Didn't fish long, only for two hours. Attachment 160198
Those will eat real good. A few more trips and you get to know the place.
"gene"
That would work for me. Thanks for posting.
Nice. That's a start. Did you catch them spider-rigging? I've only been on that lake once. And judging from the depth, which is pretty much uniform, that would be the method I would use to cover a lot of water to try and locate the fish. :fish
I had a friend who fished it last week and caught 16 on jigs under a cork in shallow water near the banks.
I caught about 20 this weekend fishing about 2 to 2.5 feet deep right off the bottom near the banks. Water gets muddy real fast once the boats start moving around. Fish running small. Heard they caught more and bigger fish a couple weeks ago. I think the bigger fish spawned out already. Fishing with Bobby Garland silver Slab Slayers with nibblets.
Awesome! Thanks for the post
Thanks for the post ledouxmike. Next time pictures please.
Fished it today. 10-6. Caught 4 on the small side. 8-10 inches. One on solid chartreuse. One on black/chartreuse. One on black/orange. One one red/blue/white. Spoke to a few people who said the bite stopped before we got there.
Went yesterday and scratched. There was a lot of dead sac a lait just floating around. Anyone knows about that?????? Is that because if low oxygen level??
