With a forcast of 80 degrees I can't wait any longer. Got the old boat ready. Spent last weekend installing an auxillary motor bracket next to the big motor for 6hp seahorse. Remote steering control arm tied to steering. Seems to work flawless on the trailer. Installed new bildge pump and float.
So it will be a systems check on the water as well as fishing. Gonna try some shad raps I been buying here and there. I read on the forum that longer baits will wobble at slower speeds. Will start out at around 1mph since water temps still not at 70 probably. Thinking about dragging thru the river and creek channels first.
Also excited about trying my new (to me) 18' wally marshall trolltechs up front.
Anyway, if nothing else get rid of the last of the older gas in the tank.
