A few Black gnat for some gill!
Nice work :cheers2 Will you be using them on a UL rod or fly rod? What wt fly rod ??
UL can't flyfish at all under a bobber.
Looking good!
Tie them on a fly rod and use a indicator, the bream will eat em up. Nice tying.
Need to put some black wings on some tied on a size 12 or size 10 hook. What size hook are those tied on.
#6 Stump!
somewhat like this stump?
That one looks good, nice work. I tie mine different from yours and have never tied the red tie in them but I can see how well it could work. Here is one I tied so your can see how it looks.
Size 14 Black Gnat and the last picture is how it will ride in the water.

OK i got you! Going to loop my wing it will stand up like your.
You're both correct there is a Black Gnat wet (justs) and a Black Gnat dry (Stumps). BOTH work well!!!! The wet can be tied on a jig but you have to tie it with the hook up. I use them on a 5 weight, and I don't use regular tippet = I use the rest of the spools of 6 lb. left over after I spool my spinning reels.
Both nice ties!!!!!!!
minimum 5 1/2 feet. Keeps the fish from seeing the fly line IMO.
I don't see that as a Gnat as talked about on here, but I do see a fly that is a Gnat! When I read the title I thought you were tying up some of the ones Donnald ties, but then I see a real fly, LOL! Nice!
Those look great.:ThumbsUp
man those sure are good looking flys gonna have to add some to my fly box I like usin cap spiders!
I don't know jack about flys or fly tying but I know enough about them to know that both of those flys will tear the bluegill up around here.CF
I use a 6 ft leader, 6-8 lb.test . We do not discriminate against catfish, bass,or redear . Blue gill is the target but frying is the plan .lol welcome to the south ! The slow fall is the killer and those look awesome !
very nicework
justcameslabdaddy I really like that red butt that you added That is the cats meow. You guys are doing a good job on the flies. Any more I just use the little flash ducks and woolies that I used to tie in Iowa. The Bream will be bedding shortly here and the fun is just about to start.
Redman
Thank Red & you guys they are very hot on the Gill.
