Should be a nice store. Guess it took Cabela's coming here to finally get BPS to build.
Never been in a cabelas. Do they do all the stuff in side with animals and fish like bass pro?
I agree stump. I went back in there yesterday and got to look at what I missed the first time. And not a whole going on. The best place I found stuff and good prices is grizzle jig company in Mississippi. Shipping is fast people are friendly, I've never been there but have ordered several times and always fast. Said thing is bps is about the same way. If bps wants to do this store right they need to find out what we the hunters and fishers would like in there stores. Since we are the ones who spends money there. Since I got into crappie fishing one thing I found out is to stay away from big stores.
i think its is going in to close to the on just up the interstate in n.c. i think it should have been closer to the three big lakes hartwell russell and the hill maybe in iva s.c. LOL
Travsd said " What we need is more smaller mom and pop stores. " We have one in Iva,with a great selection of BPS fishing supplies,if he don't have it he'll get it.Sportsman One Stop.
Been in there once and agree Dave. Store was small in size but not in product. I was amazed at how much was packed in there. Stores like that is what we need more of. The bigger stores are nice and have a lot flashy stuff that you really don't need.
I was really disappointed with the new cabelas. Acadamy has just about as much tackle, and at a cheaper price. Cabelas doesn't have a saltwater section either. Somebody didn't do much research. You can get the stuff needed for walleye rigs though. It's all about the clothes. Major mark-up. $$$. Bring on the bps.
X2 on disappointed, I went there last sunday, what a let down! I left with nothing!, Nothing in there for me, I doubt I'll go back!
I dont by from basspro, either.
I have more Crappie fishing tackle than Cabelas, Bass Pro and any other store!

I have ordered a lot of tackle from Cabelas over the years. Kind of have to admit I was a little disappointed in the store. Lots of stuff, just not much of the "tried and true" fishing gear. Was looking for bulk line. They didn't have much. Was looking for 8 ft cast nets, only saw 4 ft radius nets. I agree, should have researched local fishing needs better. BPS would have been better placed in Anderson.
I think you got more in your trailer than most stores got on their walls.:Rofl
When you were at the SC Classic I checked to see if you had the Driftmaster rod storage units(Tip Savers) and you did. I was working at the DNR kid's fishing pool and when I got through my DA forgot to go back and buy them. I should have gotten them when I was in there, but I was afraid they might walk off while I was working.
Bout how much is the shipping cost on them to SC??
I spend more with Monks at the show than I did with all the others combined. Great selection.
I haven't been in there yet. Plan on going just don't have the time.
If they are smart, I think their inventory will adjust to the local needs over time.
I certainly hope so.
