Let's See some Pics of how You're Showing off Your new SC CDC Decals!!!

Alright South Carolina Members. I really enjoyed working with you all on designing the new South Carolina CDC decals and this is my favorite part of the whole process when I see that people are ordering and rallying behind the decal the way you guys are. I really appreciate all of the kind words and thanks from many of you on the design and production of this decal and I think I can speak for Slab and Redge too. Now that some of you are receiving your new SC decals... We have one favor to ask from you. We would love to see some pics showing how you guys and gals are flying your colors on your boats, trucks, campers, etc. Please just take a minute to post up some pics to share with everyone on the board. We would very much appreciate it.

It was a pleasure working with all of you on the design and production phase(s) of this project and we hope you enjoy your new decal.

Appreciate the heads up Ronnie. Slab was working on shipping them out... I understand you may not have them yet... should be any day now. Just wanted to start this thread so folks would post pics as soon as they got theirs and got them installed.

Yes they should be here any day. Got the email saying they were shipped early this week. I'm sure you will get many pics of them from the guys here.

I appreciate the response guys. I'm sure it's that Slab was a bit surprised and taken back by the fact that he suddenly had to fill orders for 70 decals in just a period of a few days... it sorta taxes his "one man band" program just ever so much... with all else that he has on his plate. I'm sure he's burning the midnight oil trying to get these things out to everyone. Nonetheless, I'll be standing by to see some pics whenever everyone gets them and gets them installed. I hope I do get to see lots of pics from the SC guys and gals. We all love pictures.

Got two put on the tracker yesterday. Didn't know if they would stick good to the aluminum so I stuck them on the graphics sticker on either side of the boat. Then I stuck a crappie.com sticker on the side of my truck.

Jedi, I just realized what you were saying, or at least I think I do... please clarify: "... I stuck them on the graphics sticker on either side. " If you meant you stuck 'em on the tracker graphics... that should work fine as long as its an area that don't repeatedly hit the load guides on the trailer.

This brings me to an important installation fact that I probably should have mentioned earlier. Yes, these things will stick to any surface with a vengeance... but first I recommend that you clean the surface where you intend to apply the decal with alcohol or something else to get any dust, grease, grime, etc. off and then wipe the surface with a clean paper towel or cloth towel to dry completely; then apply the graphic by removing the (stiffer backing paper) (being careful that all parts of the graphic stay adhered to front contact paper) and placing it (sticky side against) wherever (cleaned and dried) surface it is being applied to; then take the backing (slick side down) and rub the surface of the graphic (outside of the contact paper) until it is thoroughly adhered and you have worked all air bubbles out and have worked it into any surface texture (such as aluminum); and then slowly pull the exterior paper off gently (starting at either top corner) bending it backwards until it nearly makes contact with the contact paper in whatever direction you start removing the contact paper in a slow easy motion making sure that the paper is not pulling the smaller parts of the decal off of the surface.

I complained to the PO yesterday by email and got a call back said they were investigating and when I checked tracking# last night it had finally gotten to Chicago after departing Forest Park,IL on the 16th and now it has departed Chicago,we'll see how long it is in transit now.

Dave, I sent Slab a PM and he checked it out yesterday also and he got the same info. Hopefully we will receive them soon :ThumbsUp

The lady in Lowndesville PO called me today and she didn't know anymore than I did.I think they should be in SC tonight and maybe get them tomorrow.Well you can always hope.

I have been following the updates here as I have not gotten mine either. Hope they all show up in SC. I have not checked on my specific order. Figured I get mine when everyone else did.

I looked at it wrong. It is in the sort facility in Chicago. It left Lake Villa on the 16th. I ordered them on the 14th. so it has been 10 days. Looks like it took 7 days to go from Forest Park to Chicago.

This is what you call snail mail, I have not received mine as of 4-24-14. I ordered them the day they came on sale. Maybe things will get straighten out soon, our mail seem to have lots of trouble of late.

Mine is still enroute from Chicago,2 days now.Maybe one day next week we'll see our packages.The USPS seems to be having some kind of problem,I hope they get it straightened out soon.I think a snail could have gotten it here by now.

Yup, I put them on the tracker graphics, and I have no guides on the sides of my trailer so I think I'm good to go. I did find as you mentioned when slowly pulling off the top paper the more you bend it back the less likely the decal will pull off the surface.

Shoot!!! The Pony Express and/or carrier pigeons delivered the mail quicker than that 100 years ago back in the day... and before they had all these computerized sorting facilities, huge fleets of aircraft and trucks, a huge army of postal workers, and a battalion of civil service workers delivering it to the rural areas. Is that slow or what??? I have never heard of such bad service as you guys are getting from the postal service. You would think with it being a government run operation.... oops... never mind... it all just fell into place for me.
