Set it and forget it
I'm using my second Masterbuilt now. At 230 degrees for 3 1/2 hrs it does a slab of baby backs perfectly every time.
I have a Master Built Electric as well and love it
has anyone had a problem with this masterbuilt unit?? read on youtube review that they had problems with the electrical system.
No problems so far and have not heard of any
the reason i ask, i ordered one thru wally and it got here yesterday. put in together, plugged it in and nothing. would not come on. rechecked the only connection i had to plug together and it was correct. called masterbuilt and they said return and reorder. oh, and this one i ordered from wally was 199 plus tax, around 213 total, no freight and i had to pick up at the store. ordered the replacement on amazon and it was 177, no freight and will be delivered to my door. we will see how this works out...
Did you push the buttons to turn it on? just kidding....I got mine back before fathers day from Wall Mart .com....$177.00 free shipping to my door....works great. Sorry you had trouble.

I smoked 3 slabs of pork spare ribs on mine yesterday at my camper. I put rub on them and smoked them for 3 hrs at 225. Then I took them off, put brown sugar and squeeze butter on them and wrapped them in foil. Back on the smoker for 2 more hrs. Then I unwrapped them and put the BBQ sauce on them. Back on the smoker for 30 minutes. Man, I think I would have won Memphis In May with them.

Them ScottV ribs are gonna put me over the top to buy a smoker!!! Those ribs sounded killer.
