Hey everyone looking on some advice on greers ferry for crappie.. Would my normal casting a curly tale jig work in this lake?
My father in law catches them around Choctaw casting jigs. He is a bass fisherman at heart, so he likes to cast.
Several are catching fish casting to the bank right now don't know what the change in weather will do to them.
Well guys I went today a fought the wind an found a few fish an caught them casting at the bank. They were mostly shallow.. Will post pics when I get home.. I'm gona try an go back tomorrow. Thanks guys for advice

Yes, you're curly tails will work. I've been doing real well so far on Greer's using them. June bug and chartreuse have worked best for me. Also yellow or glitter chartreuse 2" paddle tail. Catching some shallow but most in 20"-30" around pole timber. They are only around certain timber but when you find them for the most part they are large females.

Creekslicks,( creek spin's) with a curly tail or crappie tube 1/8 oz has been Deadly on Greers for Crappie, walleye and the Hybrid stripers will take them away from you!!!
K.....fair enough........how's this........been launching at Choctaw..........1/8 oz. jig head..........scattered around stick-ups.......20'-30' water..........throw out give 10 count then slowly reel in.......about anything with chartreuse or yellow... curly or paddle tails in 2" size..........also catching a few on rooster tails throwing at the buck brush..........:cheers2
