I can't have a glass boat...throw too many rocks.......
Lake skum will slow down a glass boat!A waxed surface cuts water better and it is easier to maintain. Or so I've read!
just what you need to be doin is donuts!!
race boater supposedly don't wax theirs. like a golf ball has dimples rather than smooth surface. Heard they take fine sandpaper and rough up the hull a bit. Now to stay clean may be a different matter.

I did mine once a year before last--pain in the but and will just get dirty again--best I've heard is you do a good washing then use lemon pledge after each trip and she will stay nice and shinny
Waxed mine once.. After that..It wouldn't stay on the trailor pulling it out of the water for 6 months...had to hook the strap up before going up the ramp.. I will never wax another boat again in my life
I have a buddy who has an older ranger and it looks like brand new, one night Feesh and I ask him how he kept it looking so clean and said he had never waxed it, washes it and wipes it down with Pledge every so often, it works cause his boat still looks like new. He said that's what the dealer told him to do and that's what he's done since he bought it.
lemon just smells better :)
Lemon is what is commonly used. Will not harm the hull or motor. Careful around electronics and plastic. Not sure what's in it but I wouldn't trust it without knowing for sure. Pledge does a great job for quick shine, but the problem is there is no UV inhibitor in it. Also, it does not protect the fiberglass by plugging the microscopic pores in the clear coat which will allow air to reach the glass which is the source of fade and the symptom of oxidation. Only a wax can do that. I used bassboatsaver for quick detail. Course, mine was faded in spots when I got it, but its fantastic for a quick shine and safe for all electronics and plastics, seats too.
I use a good soap like Blue Coral that has a wax in it. I then apply a coat of the spray on wax to the top side. About once a year I do use a rub on type wax on the top side only.
I just leave mine out in the rain every now and then.....knocks the dust off really good.
He ain't talking bout the Hull... What he was wondering bout is the pad- bottom of boat
How much more speed he want
Aerospace 303 works excellent. Spray and wipe use it on the RV too.
