Darbonne Tainter Gates
I have a buddy thats works at the state park. He was able to get to get a video of the news gates in action. They were opened to the 3 foot mark and he said the lake was holding at 82.5. Hope the link works for everyone.

Video works for me. That is the first time that I've seen below the spillway, looks like a beautiful area. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for sharing that. I was wanting to see that.

Now that's some water. Wonder what the weekend bite will be like??
-
If the lake keeps rising they will close the lake to boat traffic.
-
I am hopefull they could open the gates a little more to hold the lake level down. That was my understanding of purpose for building them in the first place.
-
Freebird do you think the water will be still on the rise by this weekend?

Getdanet, I don't think it will still be rising. But there's still a lot of water up the creeks that had to come through the lake.

Unfortunately there is a lot of water in Lake Claiborne that will be coming to D'Arbonne as well.

Last 6 hours lake is holding about 82.80. Normally close the lake to boat traffic at 84'. The lake is in a lot of people's yards and boathouses, I hope boaters will be courteous. I think the bite will be good for the next few days even with the fresh water. Crappie need to spawn and male should be on the bank.

Where would you think is the best to try them southern?
-
Males should be on the banks in the back of most coves. Water temp this morning was 57-58 but warmed to 60 by 11am. Lake level has started a slow fall.
