I have a new found respect for those of you with normal 9 to 5's that only get to fish weekends. Between the wind, 743 boats on the river, and jack knifed trailers on the boat ramp I had to call it quits.

Sounds like a bad morning, I never fish Saturdays.
Saturday is about the only day I get to fish.... Sunday once in a while.
I am a Saturday fisherman as well. It is very frustrating to deal with, but it is what t is. I think the single pole jig fisherman will be on the endangered species list soon. I have never seen so many trollers in my life. How do they troll in shallow water areas where there are stumps everywhere?
We will never go away lol. I watched several guys trolling thru stake beds today and is fun to watch.
I remember a few years back when Reelfoot got real low and everyone was talking about how you had to single pole and couldn't spider rig. I trolled right through them just fine. The stumps are there regardless if they're just under the surface or just above they're still there.
Called experience! A lot of years of seeing a bad situation and trying to find a way to make it better!I offer my help to folks anytime that need be.I have gotten help from others myself when I needed it.Grin and bear it!
Patience is truly a virtue sometimes :). Saw two guys troll into a big submerged cedar tree this weekend, man did they have a mess for bout 20 or 30 mins.
I hate saturday fishing also especially if ur catching fish, need not worry so much about getting hung up on the stumps as much as trying to keep ur poles out of someone elses poles that wants to fish the exact same spot you caught a fish:bash
15 20 years ago you never would see but 4 or 5 boats on the river in a day of fishing now that has all changed just shows you how the sport of crappie fishing has grown
