Anyone know what material the Bgjp and the C&C rods are made from?
They're both graphite poles, if that's what you mean.

If you are talking about tip action they would be about the same. BJJP has more of a parabolic bend through the whole rod.

I say that they're most likely IM6, because most rods on the BnM site do not specify otherwise ... except the Gold (IM8), Sam Heaton SS (IM6), and the Crappie Wizard (IM7). Most just say they're 96% or 100% graphite blanks.
Their Duckworth Float-n-Fly rod ad does not specify ... but the rod is labeled as IM6.

If an IM rating is specified then it's a 100% graphite rod. A 96% such as the old jig poles has other materials mixed in usually fiberglass. Without it being specified and the bend of these rods they are probably not 100% graphite. If you are looking for more sensitive try the Sam Heaton, Crappie Wizard, or Gold series.
Just got a BC in a 8 footer! Thought I was buying American made fishing rods with B n M.........NOPE!! Chinese im6........disappointment here!!!! I was told that's why they cost more! Anyways! They are Im6 on duck commander rods!
I bought this rod maybe 25 years ago, from Bass Pro Shops online. They had glass for about $29 and graphite for about $39.
I think it's IM6? Wonderful action for jigging crappie! I love that old rod, I must have caught ten thousand crappie with it! I also like the black foam handle, never a tear or a chip?
