If you are not on Green Lake in Kentucky, you are missing HUGE fish and the best lake N of Alabama.
I'm sure all the locals on Green will appreciate you telling the whole internet about their lake.
You are right mrdux....
I'm sure you (mrdux) did not understand this was a JOKE. I posted a request for info about Green Lake KY., 2 weeks ago. It got 207 looks and not ONE response. We went there, we caught good Crappie because we know how to adapt and change. Green lake is a JOKE! And y'all act like you are so kind and help a brother? Spring Break with my young sons... Not about the fish haul, at all but it is nice to keep them somewhat interested in fishing. Green is a dud.
:Rofl ... I seriously doubt that claim. But it is a decent lake for numbers of 9-11" fish.
But, there are several lakes South of Green River Lake & North of Alabama that would put the lake & the fish (size & weight) to shame.
Now ... maybe if we're comparing some Ohio lakes Crappie to Crappie in some of KY's lakes, then I might understand the comment's point. Same can be said for Crappie in some E Tenn lakes being heavier than Green River Lake Crappie of the same length.
Between the internet & today's electronics ... you're just not going to be able to hide your spots, or keep them hidden for long.

Not going to get much info with a attitude like that ape. I do not post much but the gentleman on this board seem to give out very good info when asked.
Well, that is refreshing Ranger9. See my 2 week old previous request for GENERAL info about Green Lake. I did not ask about the hot spots or where to go. I asked about a general report. 207 views and not ONE STAND UP "GENTLEMAN" here had the courtesy to say BOO! If that is a bad attitude, I am lost.
So, you didn't get the specific info you were looking for so you got your drawers all twisted up ? Lots of folks have been burned so bad by putting info on this and other forums they are gunshy of any request. I know that is a sad commentary on our world but seems to be the way it is.
I must have missed the humor in your original post. BTW, I've never fished Green so any info I would have given would have been BS anyway.
I saw & read your previous inquiry about Green. I haven't fished there yet this year, so any information I would have conveyed would have been almost a year old (for this time of year info).
Sorry you didn't get any info, however general in nature ... but, being facetious in your current post isn't going to garner you any information, either. And, calling the lake names isn't going to gain you any favors from those that fish it regularly.
There may have been 207 "views" of your previous post ... but that doesn't mean 207 different people looked at it. Those members that did look at it would be named in a box at the bottom of the screen ... and even a lot of those may not even be locals, have ever fished there, or even know where the lake is. Most of them would likely be "guests" (non-members), and a percentage of those "guests" would likely be scouting for "specific" info (aka "lurkers").
Even so ... one trip to a lake, especially this time of year, is no indication of its potential. General info on lake levels, water temps, fishing reports, etc. can usually be found through a web search.

I have usually had good response when asking about lakes all over the board the more posts you make the better the responses will be ask them to private message you then it is not all over the internet
Gotta agree that post count does make a diffrence when it comes to passing out info. A new guy with 18 posts will get more help than a 3 or 4 year member with 18 posts. How many times was the OP checking his thread daily looking for an answer? 10, 20, or more? Went anyway and then give a report like that. Gonna be even harder getting info in the future.
YES people are tight lipped because of lurkers. But I just today had great help when asking for information on a lake. 5 private messages. There are some very good people on here but also so very bad. People have been burned and are cautious. If you post and help others you will be helped also. Don't put a lot of information on the forum but send in a pm. I did not see your original post or I would have given you some general help from past experience. And it not just a Green river thing it is all lakes you have to give to receive.
PM's are you're friend when asking for help.
I have had help from Michigan to florida and all were of great help when you only have a week or less to fish and no money for a guide
Let me be clear. IT WAS A JOKE THREAD! I WAS KIDDING! I understand PM is the best way to get lake fishing info. and I appreciate that. I was called a LURKER..OOOHHHHH BAD JUJU... Yes I look here mostly in the spring before I go fish walleye up north. To the point, Green Lake in KY is a nice place with easy access and a lot of SKINNY FISH. I took my sons, we had a ball! The locals were great! I spent a lot of $$ in the local area. My original point was, decent lake, not worth the drive and $$. AND SLABSEEKER1 My sons are well, TY!...Attachment 157374
Your welcome
Great fish slab seeker....Here is a good fish my son caught.

i see the problem. the kid has a cub jersey on, have switch to a cardinal one and i am sure your luck will change!:biggrin
I feel post count shouldn't matter. This sight sight is here for all to enjoy. If you feel like a certain member deserves no response from you for whatever reason then that's fine. No need to bash anybody.
