I was thinking the same thing
Yea read reports on Larrys a week ago that guys were catching them in the afternoon by the spillway.
Saugeye at the dam....ice still at back end of some coves. Will be there this weekend. Going to do some spider rigging. That was report from there office on Friday afternoon. This upcoming weekend should be opening of bait shop and that means minnows also!
I might see ya there depending on weather.
Might head out this weekend also, the wind has been pretty intense the past couple of days though. Hopefully it calms down.
Pending rain....looks like wind is going to lay down. Cannot miss me in a plate boat! Sat WNW 17. Sun 11 from the south. I am thinking Sunday to get the seasons started!
Caught my limit today.....they wanted pink. Spider Rigging in 20' of water and also 13' of water. The season is started! Threw back about 10 little fellers. They wanted in slow I was pushing only at .5. Went to .7 and they would not play.
Water was 44 degrees at 8am.....45.6 by 4pm in 13' of water.
Whose going tomorrow?
I am,suppose to get up to 70
and 35 mph winds
Yea weather looks amazing
I will be in a Tracker 175 with a 75. 2 seats upfront with rod holders. Will launch at bait shop
I went today and was culling my 8am. Back home and cleaned fish by noon. Tomorrow I think the wind will be a little to much. I left at 10:30am at 25 trucks/trailers were already in the lot! Tomorrow will be a zoo! Go early before the wind picks up.
The wind was tough today to say the least. We did end up with a few nice ones. 13 FOW on a white or pink roadrunner or the ones by Lindy with the spinner.

Yea and lots of people! We only had 4 not much action going on.
Older 14ft smokercraft 9.9 mercury on the back. Two guys left around 11.
I don't remember seeing you. That 9.9 would of been handy today.
Drove by and watched the madness from my truck today!! Good Job Wilbur
Wilbur were you guys spider rigging? Saw a lot of boats fishing the middle of the lake.
Just wondering how you keep your bait down in deep water with so much wind?
I was on the south bank trying to stay away from the wind. I was using 1oz. of weight. The deepest water I was in was 15 ft.
Is the bait shop open yet?
Yes its open. They are there at 6 on weekends.
Thank you
Happy Easter everyone
What are the fees at evergreen?
I know a yearly pass is 47, I think 1 day is 15
Ok thanks
Magic depth was 11ft. 5-7 down. Mid lake breaks. Bobby garland lights out stroller. Fish are in schools and moving. I tried to stay on them but couldn't. Compromised by going back over breaks over and over picking off a few at a time. All big black crappie over 11"
Caught them in 15ft to 20ft on Sat about 4ft off bottom. Big plastics and my custom ties. Spider rigging. Threw back the smaller ones. Keepers avg size was 11" or over.
Nice
Yes nice job, way to go plateboater.
So who is going Sat.?
I will be there spider rigging. Going to try more 1/4oz jigs. They seem to be hammering bigger bodies and jigs. Pink has been a good color! Anybody fishing shallow yet?
Im pretty sure on going,I will look for your boat. Is there any events going on Sat.?
Unk....I plan on having poles in the water no later than 5:30am. Splash down at 5am to find them with electronics before the zoo starts!
I will get there around 7. I have to drive aways
I'm gonna try it as well.
Good luck in the am hoping to see you all there
