Cold Day, but the bite was hot! Kept 25 and threw back several in about 2 hours of fishin'. Fish were about 2-4 feet deep in 8 fow near laydowns. Mostly caught on black and chartreuse sliders on 1/16 oz jig head just casting and reeling. Lots of fish between 9 and 12 in.

Yeah, been a busy winter, plus I just don't do the ice fishin thing.....I fish all year with no ice but didn't have that option this year.

Yeah....sometimes. I gotta few spots pegged that produce pretty good. You can catch dinks about anywhere on the lake though. Non stop action for sure.

Its funny how that is on that lake you find a spot that you can catch nice fish move and nothing but small ones lol went out sunday ended up with 21 it was slow
Hey All, just checking to see if Vandalia Lake is muddy yet from last weeks rains...i am thinking about heading to this lake on Sunday.. I would think this weeks warm weather should have warmed the water up quite a bit and we should be getting into the peak times to get on some crappie!
