When I picked up my jigging pole from Mr. Courtney he gave me a hook remover. He makes them out of plastic. It has a small slit in it that you push the hook down with it and the hook sticks in the slit. Works great and doesn't damage your jig head.Attachment 156392

You know he is making his last rod for a friend of mine. I have 2. One I have been using for about 10 years. Just had the tip guide replaced because he said he wanted to replace it. You know that man knows more about crappie fishing than anyone in Louisiana. I been picking his brain. We talk about fishing certain bodies of water and what colors work good there.
A notch in a Popsicle stick works too.
