Follow the boats!
First rule of fishing Sardis is check the weather. Wind is supposed to be NW 13 with 24 MPH gust. I'd stay at home. Anything out of the west or east is bad news and North/South ain't so hot either but at least you can try to pick a bank.
Thanks for the info guys. Seen that the wind was gonna be blowing. Are you saying the wind is going to affect the fishing dramatically or you talking about over all safety. I use to bass fish the great lakes when I lied up north if you know what your doing its not an issue in a boat the size as we are fishing. Unless sardis is some kind of bermuda triangle or something. Heck I aint fished it enough to know
It can be rather rough at times.. Biggest problem this time of yr is low water leaving you no where to halfway get out of the wind.. Good luck
Its only the Bermuda triangle when the wind is out of the Northeast and Southwest with gusts that high.
You can run aground quick this time of year and with winds like that a wave can put your boat on top of a stump. Wait for a better day. Cold front is gonna lock them down for a bit anyway.
Yep, Yep, Yep, and Yep. You figure all the posts I agree with. :)
Thanks for all the comments guys. Tomorrow is the only day I have to go and had to pull teeth with wife and work to get that day. Im gonna give it a shot even if its difficult. Tough day of fishing is alot better than a easy day at work.
Bring the sailboat!
good luck to you! give us a report, thanks.
Put in at holiday and fished the stumps. Manage to catch 9 keepers (12" to 14") while standing in a wing tunnel. Caught them in 6 fow about 5 ft deep using black and char bobby garland slayr tipped with rosie reds. They were biting just hard to keep the boat right in the wind.
good results under the conditions. I never would have tried it. Glad you returned safely.
Yeahs it was windy but didnt have to travel very far because I got a lil inside info from an old timer on where to start at. And I didnt leave that lil area. It was a windy booger for sure though. They didnt want much movement at all which is hard to do in water that rough.
Nice work. I'll be there tom. AM.
