They are looking good lately
Bout time! 80% of the games they've lost were due to poor free throw shooting. UL is gonna put them on the line! if they don't hit at least 70% from the line and guard the 3, they may as well have their stuff packed to go home.Quote:

That was a great game Sunday, and they have been fun to watch lately . If they continue to play like they did against Witchata State they can beat anybody in the Tournament , if they play like they did at South Carolina and Arkansas anybody can beat them. I hope the bad play is in the rear view mirror, GO CATS

Congrats to Calipari and the cats on the win, I hope WCS is ok and can play. Poor free throw shooting will lose tight games for a team and that's exactly what happened to the Cards last night.

Some UK fan I am. I ended up with a splitting headache after our east TN trip. When UL went up 14-5 and UK was content to shoot from 25 feet, I told my wife I had seen enough and went to bed. She woke me up when she came to bed to tell me UK had pulled it out.
Justin, thanks for the kind words. UK saw too well how free throws could get you beat earlier in this season. UL had a great season but have some big shoes to fill when those seniors leave. UK barely knows what seniors look like any more.
Dont worry about UL, Doug. They'll buy the best players they can find/ recruit in the off season. Just like that team that beat them last night does. Aint that right Terry. :cheers2 :highfive

Big game from several lesser publicized players. Dakari Johnson, Poythress & the Ky. kid Hawkins all made major contributions. Hate losing Stein for any length of time. He helps a ton when he plays with energy.

Never had the faith that UK would get this far the way they played most of the season. Seems somebody new steps up big each game. Today it was Marcus Lee. He saved the day till the others got their act together. Great win today. Now we get to hear all the talking heads all week.
It's been a fantastic 3 game stretch. Gotta keep it going.

3 games ago I believed the motivation was for Randle and the Harrison twins to getback to Texas to play on the final 4 floor. The begining season #1 team have now all come together to reach that goal. I see this young bunch of men now able to win National Championship #9.
Love it...love it...love it! This has been so enjoyable because it was unexpected. Feels like playing with house money at this point.

This has been one of the most fun runs to watch, that I can remeber. From where we were losing 3 of last 4 at the end of the season and looking horrible, to taking down 3 of
last years final 4, beat another great team in Wisconsin, and now play in the championship game. Coach Cal had done his best coaching since he's been at UK this year. GO CATS!!
My wife has worked for UK for several years. We both have been lifetime Cats fans. I guess this tournament run has been so unexpected that neither of us has gotten too excited or too upset over the games. That doesn't mean we aren't into the games but at least neither of us is breaking furniture or throwing items at the TV. That might have something to do with the fact we have both been Cats fans for over 50 years. I may be too old to break furniture any more.
I am proud of the way this team has come together and made us fans proud, win or lose. It's all gravy now.
I'm a Vols guy (class of '74), but I married into a Big Blue family! The only time I've ever put on a UK shirt was when I was at my father-in-law's last fall and spilled gas all over myself. That is until now! This tournament has gotten me so screwed up, I put a UK shirt on yesterday, and didn't have to! I'll probably put it back on Monday! Go Cats!!!!

This is strictly my opinion and not worth anything, but I thought Bucky played an incredible game and the Cats looked like kids recreating out there and Bucky still couldn't beat them. Kentucky has a special team. If they could only keep it together for another year. Connecticut made Florida look terrible. How many steals did they have... I didn't think it was that Florida had turnovers, but Connecticut man-handled them and took the ball away. It should be a great game tomorrow night.
