Is there water to fish the water valley landing area at Enid?
March 8 th from cabin 14 we could see about 40 boats fishing from Bean creek to the dam. March 10th there were 4 small trailers at Water Valley landing, 4 boats fishing the timber there and 4 boats fishing east of there. 14 boats were by the dam.
We yaked around the timber and couldn't find big fish.
There is. Dunno about fish, but u could put in and out with any size boat this past Sunday. Jus be careful it's shallow on the right side.
Wannabe...
Water 3 to 5 ft at Water Valley.
Lots of folks are fishing that area, or at least they have been. I was on a catfish journey today, and don't know what went on today. In the past few days to maybe a week, there have been lots of fishing down there. By lots, I mean way way more than just a few.
Neighbor just told me there were 102 boats in that area today.
There wasn't much water there today. It was covered in boats. Unbelievable.

Trucks lined up bout 20 deep waiting to launch this morning.
Thanks for the pics Big Smooth. That looks like a justifiable homicide waiting to happen.
That is not bad. Looks like MOST of the people are fishing Sardis and Grenada....
They are driving by my place by the 30s headed to water valley. The three south lakes are slammed packed.
I ain't messing with all them goobs. They can have it. Smh
Been there like that when everyone was trying to get off the water in a hurry . Need more water to get a few more ramps open .:twocents
There ain't no way that Mr. Jesus wants me to go out there amongst them folks. I was born with a defect. Due to my illness, I am well advised to avoid avoid them crowds. I would quit eating fish and kill more deer if my only way to catch fish was to join that fleet.
I fished Enid. Put in at Long Branch and motored to Water Valley area. Long Branch had about 20 trucks, parking was easy, no line to put in. I am not gonna fight the crowds at the ramp. I went to Grenada first, then after seeing the crowds, went on up to Enid. Oh...they are getting warm at Enid. Wife and I caught 19 NICE fish between lunch and 4 pm.
Got there before daylight Friday and there was a small line, but everything was flowing good. I was surprised you could put two at a time in there. 5 minutes after we put in it looked like the line was backed up to the bathrooms. Got there around 930 Saturday and the rush was over, just had to hike for a parking spot.
Got 30 Friday and 18 Saturday. Seems as if the avg size of Enid fish is increasing. The wind was pretty tame for late March which was real nice.

Took my son and had 3 fish at 1. Moved to very isolated timber and found them. Ended up with 27 good ones. A GOOD NUMBER of black crappie.we fished till 6. Proud of him for sticking it out and reaping the rewards. a great lesson for him. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE hearing your son say, "DAD,GET THE NET! I have never seen that many boats in front of water valley in my life.
