Knowing him, he's at the Sonic in Many this afternoon getting some of their corndogs :), then later on over to Hemphill BBQ - all those folks in there know him well. I'll admit, their Texas BBQ is superb with outstanding coconut pies. It's worth a trip to visit Skip just to pass by the place. Happy birthday again - say hello to Mae.

Thanks for the wishes all. Some day Vonna. CS can teach me from th.Maybe you and Don't know what the deal is here. Caught 1 small fish today. Talked to several others with worse results. Talked to 4 of my friends who fish up here a lot, and fished up here today. One had 2, others worse. This is crappie and bass fisherman. No corn dogs Randy, made hot dogs with a little homeade chili. Should be able to eat them for hours!! Also, Randy Hemphill BBQ had a fire and is closed for a couple weeks. Having withdrawals!!

Happy Birthday Danny, you have better days ahead for fishing. You didn't want to get your hands dirty today cleaning fish anyway. Tell me about the BBQ place, is it on the Hwy 96 turn off to the road to Skips over on T Bend? I was going to go try his BBQ this weekend but will save my gas if that is the one that burned.

Happy belated Birthday Danny! I might have to make/bring you a special dessert if your at TB next weekend. We're in the handicap cabin and it doesn't have an oven. Louisiana strawberries are in season. :) Hello and hugs to Mae.

Thanks all. Randy and Ann, it looks like Mae and I won't make next week. I may sneak up with some guy friends. But she got family stuff. Sorry, we'll make sure to mark in May. Randy the fish are not where we caught them last year. We even tried shiners. There are some real shallow in the grass, but that's hard work. The bass bit for a couple hours late today, Caught 12, kept 2. One about 4 lbs. Sorry no pics. Pulled up the camp at dark and tired.

Thanks for the report Danny, you know where we will be at. I figured some might be up in the grass. You're right, it's work, but I like that type of fishing. Bummer about Hemphill BBQ, thanks for letting us know.
