Supply containers
Where are you getting your containers for mixing up various powder paints ect. 2-3 oz . containers. I am quickly realizing I am going to need many for various combinations of powder paint. Had no idea it would explode like this. I want to get into tying but need to concentrate o the heads and jigs for now.
Thanks Rod

You can mess around on Ebay and maybe beat these prices, But if you gotta have it now, I am partial to Uline

Especially for just starting out, it is nice to have a standard size and all containers the same, Makes for keeping neat and organized a much easier task.

Thanks. I was looking for this too. Bought a few on Ebay as I don't need all those extras laying around right now. Will probably regret it after a few months while I get even more addicted to painting my own jigs and need to buy more...lol

I go to hobby lobby 2 Oz or 4 Oz 6 pack .

Uline is my place of choice.
-
ULine for me too - although I hate that they're shipping charge is more than the containers. They have different distribution points but I don't know if you can go right there and pick them up.
-
I get mine wherever I can find them. Never thought about U-line. Last time I bought some from Wally World. Got a 12 pack of 2 ounce for like 3.99. Work good except I do recommend push top versus screw top.

Ziplock bags from walmart shake up powderpaint to mix!! Pour into bowl paint jigs heads pour back into ziplock bags!! lot eaiser to store and I can see if it is mixed better in the ziplocks and cheaper!!!

Thank you, many options I hadn't considered. Next question do you put a label on the side or just use marker an write color and mixture on side. Will the marker stay or wipe off?

I keep all my colors in a box and pull out as needed so I write on the top of each with a sharpie the color and I then dip a head in that color and tape it to the top so I can see what the color looks like.
Sharpie should stay on the side as well as top if you want to write on them. If not just write on a small paper and tape to jar.

Supply containers
You might check if you have a local Medicine Chest Pharmacy. I get these by the dozen whenever I need more

They're perfect for mixing powders & then storing the mix or dipping jigs. Here are some in use...

Most of the white lid jars I got from US Plastics for about $.35 each plus shipping.

That's a lot of paint, thanks again for the ideas, looks like that works good.
-
PePop, what section of drug store you find those containers or what are they called? Thanks
-
Cray, they are actually "Specimen Jars". You might even check with a local medical supplies retailer.
