All I can say is its one bad **s unit.major upgrade from what I was using.i really don't think that theres anything out there that can come close in comparison. With the all in one transducer and the 360 this is a unit thats in a class all alone.:biggrin

that guy on other site may have some problem,but the onix sure had a very clear pic,and they will find the problem, but lets be graceios to each other trying to except each others views and enjoy life,we don't want to keep the moderators on edge,i love these form and respect the ones who gave us the priviledge to use them
Didn't think I was out of line, or doing anything wrong. Have only seen 2 people that have this unit so far, so I was looking for some of you insights into the unit and it's performance. I think that's what people are interested in.
Ok yeall I went out today with the onix 10 and took some pictures.it was very windy and cold.wore my jursy gloves and operated the onix with no problems.so far the only glitch that ive found is when I switch from 455 to 800 the unit switches but still displays 455(no big deal there).also I wish that the sd card would pop out just a tad farther.(it hard to grab with cold fingers)as far as the glare issue that deal11 mentionioned over at bbc I havent noticed that being an issue for me but I think deal11 has his unit mounted higher than me were hes looking more strait at the unit were as I have my unit mounted at the front of my bass boat an I'm looking down.(I'm very pleased in how much easier it is to see compaired to the 998).one more thing.i wish that the unit would boot quicker and shut down quicker also.(this is a really good unit):biggrin
Like all new things there will be bugs to work out and a learning curve too. Looking forward to some screen shots.

kosmo, I still want to see pic,think of the many that want to see pic verses the FEW that might want to see how they may down grade any unit or company,i personly believe all these units are good ,some better in one area yet another better in another area

There's interestng stuff to be discussed when people can see results like your's from default settings...
I would venture to guess that 99% of users would much rather see positive results without having to do a lot of tweaking...
Only us geekoids actually enjoy pushing all those buttons..

Ignore works great except when someone else quotes them. Then you will see that person's comments in the post of the person that quoted them.Quote:

Heres another update on the onix.so far im still really liking it.i have found a glitch but its really no big deal as far as im concerned. Its in the favorites menu.one of the favorite options doesnt work when I touch it.im thinking about deleting that one and putting another in its place to see what happens.the units boots up alful slow,maybe a software update will correct that.there two things that are new for me,that my 998 wouldnt is the onix can display both the 455 and the 800khz at the same time and also I can choose to have a waypiont made or not while taking snapshots.
Kosmo......Have you updated the unit, or did it come with the most current release?
How far can you scroll back on the SI screen?
That snapshot thing takes one off the list.......Didn't expect the simultaneous 455/800 thing.
I think I would like the 455/800 at the same time option!!
