Last I heard it was a clay hole. May find some clean water on the lower end
Flat Swamp Creek is very fishable but the rest of the lake is a disaster. Some floating debris in Flat Swamp but not too bad.
Hey there yadkin guide what was the water temp out there,,thank you sir.
thanks .maybe I can wait a week or so.
Water temps ranged from the low to mid 50's. Mostly around 55 or so.
We went two weeks ago now and got skunked. It was muddy then. It's muddier now.
Thanks for the info. I was wondering about the conditions too. Hope things clear up next week.
I went to High Rock for a few mins this morning to play with my new depth finder. The lake is stained. It's not nasty muddy but definately got color. Pretty much all I saw was stained. Water temps in upper 40s.
The water temps I gave were in Flat Swamp. I did not go out of this creek. We caught several nice crappie about 12-18 feet deep in 20-25 feet of water. Long lining was the ticket.
Fished for about 3 hrs Saturday. 11 to 2. All in the main lake. Water muddy. Visibility was bout 6 inches. Water temps from 47 to 49 degrees. There were a lot of fish moving. Stacked up like "cordwood". Its hard to catch fish when they can't see but a few feet in front of them. Didn't go into Flat Swam. Most of the floating debris had been blown to the shore from were the wind has been so bad the last week. Wind was terrible at times Saturday.
