If you put in at Choctaw on a solo outing and the wind is howling at the ramp when you start off the water , ------------don't . boat was on ground by the time I got the truck !took 5 men to get me on the trailer !:mad:
Been there, done that.....NO FUN! When its just too dangerous, keep her on the trailer. Live to fish another day.
Dead South wind is killer at Choctaw, just like WNW wind is at Graysport. Have to pay attention, East wind will get you at Torrence as well.
