Yesterday I created a track about 10-15 feet away from the bank, went back to the start, and jig fished all the way down, never touched the controls, prop speed of 1. I have had both cable and electric steer, and once you are used to the electric steer, I don't see a lot of difference. On the foot control you have to get used to the placement of the switches where on the cable steer you just move your foot fore and aft, touching the motor on button. One advantage I have found with the iPilotlink handheld is quickly changing your motor speed when the need arises. I also like the target speed. Everybody has an opinion, just mine. I would never go back to a cable steer.
