Where can you buy Rockport Rattlers?? Anybody use them and have an opinion about them??
No, and no.....but I'm curious jus like u.
I was giving some by the owner at the classic they are just jig heads that rattle don't fish em much but they have pretty good hooks and good colors
I used a rattle head several years ago in the muddy water single poling with good success. I quit finding them for sale so I went back to normal heads. I was just wondering if anyone was using them around here (Nada). I got get some of your knats for trolling, sounds like I am missing out by not using them..You say I can get them at the DAM Store?
yes sir they should have some
Don't know but I think everyone on crappie masters tv uses them for everything. Lol
They are very expensive! I have used the 1/8 oz heads and They do not have a barb to hold the plastic bait on. They have a new jig head coming out but have only released them to there pro staffers from the info I was given from the company.
They are to expensive 3 heads a
As I was saying 3 heads are 4.95. There pro staff is pushing them so they can here the cash register ring! !!!
5.00 for three is a little tough...
1.67 each. Not bad if they put the fish in the livewell. :)
I don't think they will put that many in the livewell either! !!!!
Whitey Outlaw liked em at Washington. I don't own any tho.
I order some rock port rattlers from Cabela's. They were 1/4 oz. with 3/0 hook haven't used them yet. I use big hooks most of the time those crappie have no trouble eating them and saves a lot of net work
Wow, yall gonna gripe over a bait being 1.67?????????? :Rofl If that sucker will produce fesh its worth that all day long, its all relative. Some of you guys own $80 trolling rods why not put a 1.67 jig head on the end of it.
I have fished with them and didn't notice a difference.
Cause they don't work no better than a .25cent one.!!!!!
Reese just my opinion but not too excited about all the publicity on there new product only to allow the pro staff to have them during the Grenada tourney season where from what everyone says they could be utilized most.
They did the same last year, had a new product and gave a big talk at the CM weigh-in about it being the stuff. Each company has their way of marketing, must be working, they are back for another year. Price aint the issue for 99% of us, if we think it will increase our catch we pretty much have it in our boat.
Agree with ya Reese on price. Just don't agree with marketing of the products. For that reason I have stayed away from them. Didn't even know the same thing happened last year lol.
Wouldn't putting a bead on the line above the jig accomplish pretty much the same thing? Green carp fishermen have done it for years.
I'm like RG. I don't mind the price if my catch increases. For 10 bucks, I'll try 6 of em. Cheaper than a burger and fries at Mickey D's nowadays.
I have paid more for less. I just think 90% of the things on the market are designed to catch fisherman more than fish. One look at my tackle box proves that. I got more jigs than I could use in a life time and still buying more!!!!
G.A.S. (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) is a common condition in this sport. The manufacturer's know how to play on it because in the final analysis it's all about money. I usually wind up buying everything that comes out just to see if it works.
Steve hollar at me when u get to Grenada I got something for u and its free! !!
Will do Jerry if we get to make it......This crud has got me feeling like ...well, Crud, LOL! If the body can begin to cooperate with the mind we will be there. If this stuff gets any worse however, I would be hard pressed to catch a Crappie! We are gonna try our best to make it. I don't guess we will be at the CM the next weekend because David just started this new job and Can Not get off the Friday of the tourney. He is off every other Friday, just not the one on tourney day this time. We are planning on making quite a few more tournaments this next year however even if we have to travel a ways.
Baitnthangs on lake Washington just became dealers of the rock port rattlers. We will have some in soon!
This was posted by mike on the Arkansas forums.
This is Mike Jones, owner and operator of Southern Star Rv Park and Bait-N-Thangs Campground. First off, I want to thank all of the people who participated in the tournament and came to the cook out and interviewed with Krappie Kings Televisions, and also family, friends, employees, and local fisherman. This event was great for Lake Washington and will bring many anglers here in the future to fish in future tournaments, crappie and bass. I want to thank the Eastern Missouri Crappie Club for their support. To clarify the fish fry that was done on that day, I released well over 200 head of crappie that went back into the Lake with the help of my employees and also anglers that were here. The only fish that were used in the fish fry was that of what I had in the freezer plus the fish that did not live. I would appreciate it if My business was not slandered if you do not know the facts. Furthermore, the remaining fish that the live well would not hold was sent with the Mississippi Game and Fish Warden to take to the Arms of Mercy Missions. I am in the process of locating a large tanker to try to save as many fish to return to Lake Washington for future fisherman. I am very proud to let know that the Big Mama Tournament fish were all saved thanks to the live well that I had borrowed. My campground is friendly and convienent to all fisherman and we would love to have each and every one of you here to visit. Yes there are antimosities among those that speak bad of me but you cant please everyone. Crappiemasters and Mike Valentine are well aware of the fish that were returned to the lake and it was his suggestion to get the live well. CrappieMasters came to Lake Washington only after four years of my working on getting them here and on the 5th year we have a classic. So in the future, if you dont have the facts, please contact me before you put malicious content about me or my business on a public forum, and for those of you that are my customers, none of what was said is true and thank you for the support of those who stand by me.
Thx. Hadn't seen this.
