Fish ain't moved into my area yet (west sandy). Water temp was about 45*. That is about 10* below normal. I would sider rig around the power lines. Follow the boats. MHO.
I went friday and fished the power lines area and caught a few in 12 fow right on the bottom. But I caught most of my fish and the bigger ones in 20 fow suspended 12-15 ft. Only wound up with 14 keepers but most of them were nice uns. I couldn't get them to touch a jig I caught all of them on minners.
Thanks for the info, I had thought about going around Country Junction but may start a new game plan.
I plan on going back again tomorrow so I will let you know what's going on, if I figure it out.
I went to the big sandy yesterday and fished the power lines area. The bite was real slow. The few I caught were in 16 -18 fow of water and anywhere from 5ft deep to 16ft deep. I couldn't ever find a consistant pattern. Ended up with elevan keepers.
I got skunked sitting in my lazyboy.
Thanks for the info, We fished Saturday and had 31 keepers and Monday had 35 keepers after getting blowed around the lake. Caught a few on Jigs but most of them was on minnows in 14 to 18 fow. Thanks again
I'm gonna give it a whirl again tomorrow. The wind is not suppose to be too bad.
I am looking at the lake now. West Sandy is churned up to lite chocolate. winds are strong and it is cold air on the dock.
Crap, they must be letting a bunch of water out. I'll try it anyway.:biggrin
Lake is calm and clearing, however, we have heavy fog which is slowly lifting.
Nothin special just stuck with'em
Ima waiting on the fish to come see me. They always do.
Folks are at the West Sandy pumphouse wading and catching some fish near the ramp.
I fished from daylight to dark yesterday and wound up with 45 keepers. Caught them in mostly 11 fow anywhere from 5 ft.deep to 11 ft.deep on minners and was spider rigging. They were in elkhorn thick, but scattered pretty good. They would only bite if I was trolling at .4-.5 mph.Attachment 155250
