Gastric Surgery

Well wish me luck Crappie.com.

I am headed to Lafayette General on Tuesday for gastric bypass surgery.

Hopefully after i lose all the weight i need to, i will be more likely to come fishing........ My boat wont draft quite as much after.

In any case, I'm sure i will be crying about how much i hurt on it in a few days.

Prowler, I pray it all goes well. I have known about a half dozen people who have had it done and all of them lost a bunch of weight and were very pleased. It's a little tough at first having to eat just liquids but they all said it was worth it.

Wow Prowler I didn't know you were doing this. I wish you great success. Be sure to let us know how its going.

Good luck Prowler, my mom and dad have both had the procedure the last couple years

Have had several friends go thru it and best advice. Eat one spoonful then wait an hour before trying #2. Almost the same with a drink of water.

To be honest i am blogging it more for myself than anyone else.. kind of a "Sworn word, can strengthen a shaking heart" type of thing... ie... if i say i am gonna do something publicly i am much more likely to push myself to making it happen.

I have to do my whole routine... get music going, have fan blowing on me... and have the bike facing the window so i can keep my mind on something other than the torture.. :)

Congrats on your will power and determination. I know it isn't fun but it will get better, and a little easier. Much respect to you for taking your life back.
