Does anyone use the double seats. Which ones are the best? And where do you get them? Thinking about buying one for spider rigging, I don't know much about them.

Bought mine from dub-l-seat. Works great. http://www.dub-l-seat.com
Go to Cumberlandcrappie.com.
we use the EZ pole double seat. It drops in the center pedestal mount, has two arms for two pedestal seats. we like it the seats can be swiveled any where on the back deck. works well, can still use livewells and get to the batteries for charging. was thinking about buying another one for the front of my boat. we sometimes fish 4 people. easy in and out.
I use a Cumberland Crappie double seat base. I t also has the arms for attaching your rod holders, umbrella, etc. I like that it fits in the boats pedestal base and everything can be removed and transferred to another boat if you want to do so. It does have a tendency to shake your rods if you step on one of the rod holder arms, but at least you are not drilling holes all in the boat. These will also go to the back deck if you want to use the rod holders back there for trolling- or "pulling cranks" as it is now being called !!
Big River Marina has them. Just give Bill a call
I really like this one I got from EZ T Pole perch.
Cumberland Crappie The only way to go. Here is my 2 cents! No one will be sorry!
Cumberland's look nice but for the cost difference I don't know. Plus this EZ T comes with an umbrella holder also and all for $105 plus 18 for shipping. Either choice you'd be happy with.
I have an ez troller pole perch and it is a great price and works well, but I am not that impressed by the quality. The bushings looked like they had been whittled out by hand, the feet had pulled when welded and were not completely flat. The stem was not machined down to a correct fit in the base. After saying all this. We added a little rubber mat to the floor where the feet sit and are using it like it was a 250 dollar unit. Umbrella holder is a nice feature.
RCC, I like the rubber mat idea. Did you glue them down or just take in and out when needed? Where did ya find the mats?
I have these. Attachment 153804Attachment 153805
They are Multi functional. I use mine Fishing, Camping, Hunting, and BBQing. They work well in or out of your boat!!!! They are more stable than a pedestal type add a seat IMO.
Bill, how wide is the double seat frame at the widest point?
I'll measure one tomorrow, but I think about 42"
