Was this at Indian Hills or further up toward Fly Creek? Didn't know any docks up there... Private?
Heated dock?
It was at the mouth of fly creek. By the rock boat ramp.
Details? Size, number of fish, depth??? :fish
Private or public?
It's a private dock that is pretty brushed up, we were using salt and pepper sassy shad at about 8'
We caught about 10, 5 keepers.
Duck Creek was depressing yesterday evening. Tried jigs and minnows. Only caught a lil 2lb spotted bass from the dock. At least it was a nice evening.
Went out again yesterday on the S. end of the lake. Only had one little crappie that came from 20+ fow. Water temp was 46 in the coves. The good news is I think we're about a weeks worth of nice weather away from good fishing. The bad news is next week won't be that week of good weather!
Should be able to go out tomorrow evening... I'll report back.
Main lake has been T O U G H! Docks or up in Spring River are where the action is!
Thanks Jeff. Planning on doing some dock shooting next week.

No love again on S. Grand yesterday evening. Water temp still around 51-52 in the coves.
My buddy said his son have pulled out some fat toads off their dock 2 days in a row using jigs only! He said 15 and 17 fish respectively with their size some of the biggest they have ever caught! Duck creek private dock! Wish I was there! LOL!
That was he and his son, and catching them about 6' deep in 10' water.
Thanks for the update bighook! I'll have to make the trek to Duck Creek to see if the grass is any greener.
They are starting to catch them shallower and shallower. Been catching a few around Terra Miranda in <10 FoW
Went out yesterday with no love.... Going to try again tomorrow. And maybe synagogue a spoonie...
Snag
Snag a spoonbill... At first I thought he was taking the spoonbill to church HA!!
Gonna try fishing the Indian Hills Crappie tournament tomorrow with the kids...... Attachment 158247
Come on Jeff, I know you can do better than that. You are too good of a fisherman:biggrin
Don't be ashamed Jeff, that bigger than anything I have caught this year.:notworthy
We caught little one today in 10' of water on a black and purple jig....
I have a trip 4 the next four days planed with the girlfriend and her girl down to the twin bridges area... Was wondering if that would be a decent place for crappie (maybe up the spring river) or do I need to travel more towards the main lake?
They are biting, went to Indian Hills Wednesday evening. Minnow bite was doing good inside the dock before the sun went down. The jig bite really picked up after the sun went down. Had one 15 incher in the bunch.
is indian hills the marina down there? Is the dock something open to the public that u can fish with a fee or is that a private dock? have u heard of any being caught down the spring river? 15 incher is a good one!
thanks
Yes, its the marina in Bernice and it has a public pay dock. I have been seeing and hearing reports from all over the lake, the crappie are really turning on. Going to head down today after work to smack'em. As far as spring river goes, I haven't heard much on it lately.
Has anyone done any good lately???
Fished Grand Saturday night (all night til daylight). Fished main lake brush piles in 20' to 25' with baby shad and panfish assassins. Best colors seemed to be Electric Chicken and green pepper shad. Had 22 keepers and four big sandies (2.5+ lbs). Lots of throwbacks. Was a good time, just enough wind to keep bugs away and keep it pretty comfortable. Once the partiers got off the lake about 2:30, water settled down pretty good.
What kind of lites were you using PJ?
Light from the boat docks if we were around a dock, otherwise just the moon - it was full.

Those look like some really nice fish but it's the hat that makes this post ( and the handsome little feller wearing it). Where can I find me a hat like that- it looks warm and like it might scare away the competition at the same time!
1 might be available for you but only if there will be a picture of you wearing to validate the monumental event:biggrin
Found more again sitting about 15 foot deep in about 35 fow. Ended up catching 12 keepers and 8 Blue cats all off of ultralites, was a great time. Biggest blue was 20lbs!
Been picking up a few in the Elk River arm of Grand. Been fishing about 22 fow, bite is coming from around 20. Red/Chart. has been my color of choice.
