New Spoons

Here is something I have been messing with they are my small spoons with #6 hooks. the beeds are glass to add contrast and rattle I will have them on my site as soon the the editing server is back up. not sure why its down you can look at the site but I cant get in to edit:eek:

They look cool. Now does the bead go up and down and rattle?

it does go up and down on the hook, the rattle comes from the glass bead hitting the eye and the spoon

Ice tackle.... those spoons are working now. I'm going to use em icefishing too but i'm hammerin the slabs up here in Pa. now.

Spoons

I know the jigs are plenty strong,I caught a stripper[about 6lbs]on Lanier last week.Thats in Georgia for those that want to know.Will talk about another trip later crappieday.

we need to get out to clark hill soon and see if we cant load up:D
any body know of a good place to put in and which way to head out to find some slabs?

All I need is two week notice,beg plead and say a prayer or two--some one will put us on them.Then I can really tell everyone first handed how well the spoons and jigs get the slabs.

Crappieday:

I'd love to try the Da Fly spoons under the docks at the Lake of the Ozarks. Earlier in this thread you mentioned that you were going to put some kits together. Are go going to do that and, if so, will you be doing it with Da Fly. Let me know -- I'm interested in a Da Fly kit. Thanks!!

I have been trying to deside what, how many and what colors to put in the kit. I can put a kit together with 4 of each style in your colors. a total of 16 Spoons for 9.00 and the shipping is on us.

Great minds think alike...i got my order of an assortment of 18 last week and that is exactly what i wanted them for,when the fish move on the docks i think they will be deadly.

glad you got yours bugman, hope they work for you as good as they are for the pro staff. chaunc has been killing them lately. it offers them something they dont see from every fisherman. he is catching them off spots others are not.

I'll probably just order sixteen DaFly spoons in an assortment of four colors. How do I go about doing that and getting the free ship deal?

Bugs -- as I mentioned I primarily dock fish at LOZ. You're right, I think these things will work great on the docks. I hope to see you down there this winter.

Bugs -- colors, presentation?

Hey Bugs:

What did you end up doing in terms of colors for the spoons? I figure you'd have a pretty good idea with all of your experience at LOZ.

I tend to have my best luck with chart., orange and black when it comes to jig heads. What are your thoughts on the spoons?

Also, my thought is to tip these with a minnow and possibly a nibble, too (as I do with my jigs on the docks). How were you planning to use them?

I'm gonna try em without tipping but will tip with minnows or nibbles if need be.I got a few of every color every day is different just remember that loz gets super clear in the winter but the water is dark around the docks,chart,blacks and reds seem to work well for me.

Hey crappieday do you make spoons with more than 1 color on them? I had real good luck with a glow spoon with some lime at the top.

I can do it, it can be a pain so I dont offer it on the site but if someone wants it I will do it for them. because I am dipping in powder the color break is not always clean but it does the job. what colors are you wondering about.

I went fishing today and tried every small ice jig I could think of without much luck. I then remembered The micro spoons I ordered which I finally found and put one of the lime green colors on tipped with a wax worm and caught two large GILLS.It was getting dark and I had to leave but I am going again tomorrow and start out with the micro spoons.
