Rootbeer

I have some rootbeer kip tail. I was wondering what colors would go with it, or would the 1 color be better by it self?

I tie all rootbeer jigs - chennile and calf-tail for smallmouth. Fished bounced along on the bottom they resemble crawfish.

What size jig do you use for the smallmouth?

I use 1/16th for still water and 1/8th for the mouth of creeks where there is a bit of current. The Bass Guys go even bigger to make sure the jig is on the bottom. I fish ultra-light most of the time so I down-size a bit.

Chartreuse goes with nothing but best with everything.

Here's one.

That's a winner there. I would like to see it with a pumpkin brown head, with just one piece of olive crystal flash on each side. Very nice.
