Can you attach a crane swivel with the blade of choice to make his head a spinner? It says the 2nd loop is for a stinger hook.
Thanks

yep I did it look in the forum pages bait saver jigs
Where did you find the head or the mold at, if I may ask? You could also attach a willow or Colorado blade to the lower hoop via a split ring. Check out Zeiners for some great prices on them.

You may wanna watch using then, because when I did the barrel swivel an blade swing up next to the body and doesnt spin very well at all. This was just my experience with it. The bottom eyelet is used for a stinger hook.
That's a do-it mold. Live bait jig. Zeiners has it.
So it is a heavier jig?

I want to say my mold has 1/16 cavity on up to about 1/2 or 5/8.
I think a tiny micro swivel with two very small split rings would just fit with the 1/16 and a #4 hook. Here is a picture without the swivel and you can see it still looks a little short. This is with a standard RR blade off an old rusty RR I had.
I cut off the little collar on the jig with a pair of tiny wire cutters. After painting, eyes, and tied, it weighs in at 0.069 without the blade and a #4 hook.

I really like the head design, I'm going to pour some without the stinger eye.
I don't know if this would work for sure but i think it is worth a try. Put the split ring in like you have it then attach the swivel another split ring then the blade. Looks like it would drop the blade enough so that it would work. :twocents
That's a picture of a mold that Barlow's sales. I believe they're available in many sizes. Just trying to find a way to make spinners cheap. Thanks guys for the comments.
You can get it for much cheaper at zeiners, as well as the inserts for $10/1000.

Speed trout - Try tying a belly spinner (swivel tyed in behind the head of the jig so the blade is below the body) or tail gunner (swivel tyed toward the rear of the hook so the blade spins behind the lure). You'd be surprised how well the belly spinners track.. Catch lots of big Bluegill with them in SoCal.
without the crane swivel that blade isn't going to spin.
It was just to show length, so the OP can decide if that is what he wanted. I didn't have any small swivels, so I showed the blade and split ring.
That explains it!!LOL Even making my own horseheads and pony's I have a bunch where I just tied a crane swivel to the shank of the hook tied my pattern and then attached the split ring and blade.
Even if not a spinner, I see a bunch of multi rig options available with that head. Cool purchase.
You didn't hear it from me.. but they make great double jig rigs. Tie to the hook eye, then tie a 12" section of line to the bottom eye and attach another jig below that.
Right there... 3433*
Its a live bait jig with stinger hook eye.
I got a feeling that hooking a swivel to the loop on that jig via split ring will allow the blade to swing up and hit whatever is being used for the jig body. The swivel would not be fixed like it is in a pony head mold. It will be sweet if it works though.CF
