Bear Creek Report

I had to take advantage of this beautiful day. Went back to Bear Creek area. Fish had moved and it took me about 3 hrs to round a few up. Finished with 18. Found fish in 17- 18 ft water. Fishing with hair jigs

Very nice... Bear creek at pickwick? If so , the wife and i pulled cranks in that area the only time we have been there. Got to fish about 30 min before a summer storm ran us off.. Nice area

It wasn't a cake walk for sure. I had nearly gave up & I tried a different spot that I had ever fished. Just happen to find a few there but it was a very soft bite & if I hadn't had some good poles I would have never caught a fish. Good equipment and the right equipment pays off on tough days. When everybody's catching, it don't seem to matter much.

I don't know about the bait shop. I put in at Eastport side. Water is rising. Little murky but should clear up in a few days

If you are talking about the store right before you get to the campground.it is now a private residence. But there awesome activity at the Buzzard Roost site. It might be open. I would bring what I needed just to be safe.

Today would have been a great day to be on the water. But life did not let us get out . But watch out Monday and Tuesday. Thinking a buddy and I will hit Yellow creek Monday and if we can't find any fish head to Bear creek Tuesday.
I have the lund set up to side pull or spider rig. So we can do both or single jig fish drops. so I hope to have some of what was in the pic above for Dinner Monday night.:biggrin
