JORDAN LAKE Report 2-22-14...Personal BEST DAY...
Well , as you all know about the Jordan fish kill a few years ago....A few boats stayed back & local(as we couldn't make it to the High Rock Tournament)...We decided to stay close to home(Good friends,Chester & Aron...& my brother Steve & I ),And decided to see what Jordan had to offer....WE started out really slow catchin a few fish early at our favorite little holes,on the lake(lake temp was 47 degrees where we were)...By mid day...We decided to Move around to deeper water ..But still, nothing special...It was around 1 pm & I told my brother we should try something completely different...Soooo...We started back in some flats on the North side of the lake 3-4 ft & eventually ended up in 1-2 ft of water in some heavy mess borderin our rod tips,When It STARTED...POLES slammindown left & right....It was the most exciting 45 min I've ever experienced on ANY LAKE...Every fish was FAT ,BIG, FEMALES...full of eggs & pretty consistent in sizes....We made a CALL to our buddies & said "WE found um...GET OVER HERE NOW"...By the time they arrived .the action subsided some....We ended up with 7 fish over 2 LBS>(2.01 to 2.85,big fish)...Not only that we had a dozen other fish from 1.46 to 1.89 in addition to the Big Females....In all the years fishin for Crappie ,I've never had a stringer that healthy...I know our buddies picked up several 2 lbers as well....In summary...I believe their is no PROBLEMS AT JORDAN LAKE,that I can see after this experience....JORDAN is BACK.....(my browser is acting up...As I can't seam to download pics on this site for some reason.......You can Go to my Facebook page to see fish ,if you'd like......Bobby Arnao...as I was able to download some pics their....GOOD Fishin this year to ALL)
